Jen & Co. Is currently seeking a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate should be driven and highly motivated and wants to make a difference in a company.
The ideal candidate should have a solid knowledge of GAAP and strong financial analysis skills. The candidate should also be highly proficient in Excel, detail-oriented, and highly organized. Should be able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure.
This role will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financials such as GL accounts, BS reconciliations, commissions, fixed assets.
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Record, classify and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Prepare supporting documentation for audits (internal and external)
Perform ad hoc analysis of accounting transactions and balance sheet accounts
Adherence to continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Assist in process improvements in the accounting department
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Document the execution of key and secondary internal controls on a monthly basis
Calculation of monthly Borrowing Base for Bank
Hires and trains accounting team member
Support team members and cross train duties to assume responsibilities during absence
Perform Month-End and Year-End Closing in timely manner
Prepare and monitor budgets
Review TaxJar transactions to ensure taxes are filed and paid correctly across different states.
Qualifications and Experience:
Accounting: 3 years (Required)
Payroll: 2 years (Preferred)
NetSuite: 1 year (Preferred)
Microsoft Excel: Highly Proficient
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication Skill
Strong attention to Detail
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Take action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Proficient in accounting software and ability to apply basic accounting concepts.
Detail oriented with strong work ethic
