A Suwanee, GA-based global company that manufactures and distributes building materials has an immediate opening for a SENIOR ACCOUNTANT.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Utilizing technical accounting expertise to provide the following support:

. Month-end and year-end closing

. Consolidation, inter-company transactions, and reconciliations

. Balance sheet accounts reconciliations

. Ensure the accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies

. Interface with management in various departments, including sales, operations, demand planning, etc

. Quarterly balance sheet and P & L Fluctuation Analysis

. Monthly expense variance analysis

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Accounting -

. Maintain G/L accounting for three related companies

. Support month end closing activities including making general journal entries

. Maintain an accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

. Assist in preparing comprehensive monthly financial reporting packages

Financial Analysis -

. Profit margin analysis by customer, by product, etc

. Review monthly financials for fluctuations and variances

. Participate in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling as needed

. Other ad hoc projects

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

. Bachelor's degree in Accounting

. At least 3 years general ledger accounting experience is required

. Cost accounting experience in manufacturing industry is a strong plus

. Strong Excel skills

. Strong analytical and problem solving skills

. Team player and have ability to work independently

. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

. Sage ERP MAS 200 experience preferred
