2. Why in red, yearly animal; introduce little bit of year of monkey; typically what we will do for Chinese new year; 
(The Chinese New Year is the most important holiday for Chinese people. 
Like Thanksgiving celebrated in the United States, the Chinese New Year is a time for family gathering. 
Regardless how far away they live from their parents, Chinese will do their best to go back home and have a big feast with their families on the eve of the Chinese New Year.

3. As most of you guys aware of, we have 12 animal This is the year of Monkey, The Monkey is ninth of the 12 animals in the recurring 12-year Chinese zodiac cycle. Every 12 years there is a Monkey year. (Interestingly, Monkey years are all multiples of 12 — from 12 AD, through 1200 AD, to now in 2016.) Monkey are Smart, quick-witted, confident and always ready to help others

(1) This afternoon we have a special musical guest, a musical performance by Mrs. Cherry Chen. 
She will be playing for us three classical songs on a Chinese instrument called “gu zheng”, known in English as the Chinese zither. 
Many of you probably seen it in foreign movies. It has 21 strings and is plucked by both the left and right hand to create its melodies. 
The instrument was invented more than 2,000 years ago and remains a center piece of classical Chinese instruments.
The first song played is called the “Dance Music of Yi Tribe". 

(b) The second song is called "Fishermen's Song at Evening Tide". It starts with a truly poetic slow movement, describing the fishermen rowing their boats back home from a day's hard work in the beautiful sunset. 
© The last song is Red Blossom on the Mountain, which describes a beautiful scenery on the 
mountain. People are hiking and enjoying the blossom of red flowers in the early summer.

9. As a traditional Chinese dress. Qipao is like a wonderful blossom in China's bright-colored fashion scene. Because of its unique charm, many women wear it to show their special grace.

The history of Qipao
In the early 17th century in North China, Nurhachi, set up the Eight
Banner System. Later he led his troops into Beijing and overthrew the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). After years, a collarless tube-shaped gown was well developed, which was worn by both genders. This is the early version of the Qipao. It became kind of popular among the royal palace of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) to show the Manchu nobility.
10. Most of them were made of silk, and embroidered, with thick laces trimmed at the collar, sleeves and edges. The dress empresses of past dynasties wore them. Their style of dress was noted as the highest of standards for Chinese women for several thousand years.
