OCA - Georgia’s 2016 Lunar New Year Banquet will be held on Saturday, 6 PM - 9 PM, February 20th, 2016 at the Oriental Pearl Restaurant, Chamblee, GA.
The theme of our celebration is Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship. To stay competitive in an increasingly globalized world, our mission in Educational Empowerment, Leadership Training, and Professional development attempts to inspire creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. We are empowering Asian Americans to march into 21st century, not last century. 2016 LNY banquet for the year of Monkey would heighten such spirit. The program include:
Keynote speaker is Sunny K. Park, Founder and CEJ, General Building Maintenance, Inc,. CEO of Global Sun Investments Inc. Mr. Park has lengthy credentials, just to mention a few: USO Patriot Award Recipient and one of Most Influential Atlantans by JAMES Magazine and Atlanta Business Chronicle in multiple years; Laureate of Atlanta Business Hall of Fame. He served as Vice Chairman of Georgia Port Authority; The White House Commission of Asian Americans. Dr. Josephine Tan will introduce the speaker.
OCA-GA Distinguished Achievement Award will be presented to Professor Haian FU,
Associate Dean for Innovation and International Strategies at Emory University School of Medicine, Director of Emory Chemical Biology Discovery Center, and Leader of Discovery & Developmental Therapeutics Program of Winship Cancer Institute. Fu currently holds the Winship Partner in Research Endowed Chair at Emory University.
OCA-GA High School Senior Leadership Award will be awarding to Esther Lee of Peach Ridge High School and OCA-GA/AT&T-APCA Scholarship would be presented.
