highlight a new chapter. To promote the Exchange and development of traditional
dance and performance arts, increase and promote national heritage and carry
forward traditional dance and international cooperation between dance artists,
dance funs, dance lovers, USA Twin Cities Chinese Dance Center will pairs into
Chinese Dance Theater, China Asian International Dance Federation, the
Association of Chinese Literature and Art, US Minnesota China Tribune to
jointly host the United States Minnesota First Global "Chinese Dance"
performance competition on July 20th to
21st, 2013, we sincerely invite the dance
elites of all countries to join this festivity.

B, The
geographical area and qualifications of Chinese, international dance
competition: United States, China, Canada, and Korea, and Germany and other countries.
We welcome individuals or Groups, regardless of national background, culture
background, and skill level to attend the competitive contest of the various
types of awards.
C, Tournament
and registry schedule and ending date: 1, the registry time: USA beginning on
April 15, 201; other countries registry opens for application immediately. 2,
registry ending date: USA- June 30th 2013,
other countries-April 30th
2013; Registration fee
and registration form must be sent together, the contestant's name need to be
written clearly (either Chinese or English), the organizer is not responsible
to make any changes, no refund of the application fee to drop outs after the
registry ending date. 3, dance competition period will last 2 days, from July
20th – 21st 2013.
4, the competition schedule will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm; the exact
competing time schedule may be adjusted by the organizers upon the actual
numbers of the contestants, programs settings and order on the days of the
competition accordingly.

3. Adult group, Note: the age of all participants will
be count on actual age before July 21st 2013
as the competition age. Duet and Trios will count the eldest participant age as
the entry age; the group dance will count the average of all participants as
the entry age.
G, Dance
level: Supreme group: with more than ten years of arts school age;
Abbreviations: A Advance group: from six years to nine years of arts school
age; Abbreviations: B Intermediate group: with three to five arts school-age;
Abbreviations: C Beginning group with two years or above art school age;
abbreviations: D Note: the art school age of the
participants is counted from the beginning date to learn dances to the date of
this competition, if having three years art school age, (by calculation when
she started to learn dance , not based on the length of the school she studies
now as the total art school-age. Having studied ballet and other dance time
must be added to the individual dances arts school age), she should be
transferred to the intermediate group. For instance, one is 12 years old before
July 21st 2013, registers Han nationality
dance, sole dance, she should fill up the application in category, type, age
and level sections.
H, Competition
programs:
The organizer
will set up the consolidated competition category, performance order and time
schedule based on the type, age, level of the participants enrollments. The
organizer will inform the participants, groups and individuals before the
competition. All participants can go online to check the updated information at
http://www.tccdcmn.org/ .
I, Competition
works: 1, There is no limited of the amount of the competing dance for each
school or art group or individual participants. 2, the participants (school, or
art group or individual) shall submit the information requested by the
organizer before the due day. 3, all participants should submit the contest
dance program to the organizer for the evaluation before the tournament.
J, All music
of competition programs is available by CD/DVD. CD/DVD quality should meet the
performance standard. Programming music is required to record on a separate
CD/DVD and make a label marked on the disc: a). name of the participant,
registry number b). name of the program c). please make "ON" to
indicate the music will be played after the performer in the stage first; or
"OFF" to indicate the music will be player before the performer
enters the stage.
K, Dance
program time requirements: Solo , duet and trios: 4.5-5.5 minutes; Group dance:
5-7 minutes; Overtime program will be subject to the scoring cancellation by the
power of the judge panel.
L, All participants are required to report to the
registration desk in 30 minutes before their program starts. The organizers
have the right to cancel the competition for being late.
M, The ten
best awards of the Global “Chinese Dance” International competition: The best
folk dance performances The best classical dance performances The best people
dance performance award The best modern Chinese dance or ballet Chinese dance
performance award The best international standard dances, award for best
director, choreographer awards The best collective spirit awards The best style
award The most prospective performer awards - note: the highest score;
The global
“Chinese Dance”, International Dance Competition trophies is awarded to the
participants by a one-time. Winners possess their trophies.
N, Peer
review: 1, the judging panel consist of three judges, two from the United
States dance artists , one of dancer artists comes from China. All judges of
the competition are the expert, which have very high attainments and
fame-seekers and have a certain experience in the international dance
competitions; also possess the theoretical study for some accomplishment. 2,
all participants’ names and programs of the competition will be represented by
assigned numbers. The participants should be enter the competition area by the
proclamation of their numbers by the assistant of the peer review to start the
performance. 3, in each level of competition (beginning, intermediate,
advanced, supreme) has the first, second and third prizes. The average score
must exceed 70 for the beginning groups champion; 75 for the intermediate
group; 80 for the advance group; 85 for the supreme group. The champion &
the first runner-up will be awarded cups; the third place will get a medal. 4,
the overall winner awards are determined in total scores by the judges’ panel.
The special awards will be based on the participants performance decided,
elected by the judging panel. 5, the scoring method: performance 40, dance
skills 40, choreographer 20. The average score of Judge will be the scores the
participants obtain. 6, all participants of each program will have a chance to
receive the peer review on-site comments , and the comments of the peer review
will be written in Chinese and English with the words that meaningful and can
improve develop the potential in the future.
O, Stadium,
notice to the participants: 1, welcomes the participants of their relatives and
friends, foreign audiences to watch the competition. Except the team leaders,
teachers, art directors, all visitors and participants’ family, friends and
relatives must pay admission. The tickets can be purchased at the Theatre box
office. 2, the audience should be seated and not allowed freely in and out of
the theater during the tournament, keep quiet and custodian young children are
the essential requirements. If necessary, please leave the theater at the end
of each program. During the evaluation scoring, teachers and parents of the
participants shall not talk to the peer review before their student or children
come into the competition, otherwise, it will cause losing its
eligibility. 3, except the organizer, all the audience, is prohibited the
recordings without approval by the organizer. All Information of United States
“Chinese Dance” International competition, videos, photos are the copy right of
the organizers. The organizers have the right to record a VCD to sell out.
Photographs must not use flash during the programs except during the prize
awarding ceremony. 4, all participants, during the competition, will be responsible
for their own meals / lodging and transportation matters.
P, Notes: 1,
the competition does not offer special effects lighting. All participating
dance will be conducted in a basic lighting 2, all of the dances will be
limited arena on the hardwood floor, soles or metal with a screw or PIN shaped
soles may damage the stage surface. As required in such sole dance shoes by the
performer in the program, the participant must indicate during the registration
process. 3, in the dancing is strictly prohibited in-competition with sand,
liquids, colorful shredded paper, powder, smoke / haze, or any other similar
items. These materials may cause risks of the safety to participating dancers
or impede the continuity of the programs. 4, the open fire or fireworks are not
allowed. Theatre stage lift systems are not allowed in the in the performance.
