Dear friends,
One of my colleges, Paul Hein's son Noah, 12 was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in February 2008 and has battled the disease with successful chemotherapy treatments. However, in April 2012, the leukemia returned.
Now, Noah's best chance is to receive a bone marrow transplant. a donor drive is scheduled in Atlanta on Saturday, June 16 from 10:00am - 3:00pm at Marriott Courtyard-Glenridge. The below link contains all the details you need to either attend in person or join the Be the Match Registry. Please note the June 16 drive only involves a cheek swab to test for possible matches. If you are a match, you will be contacted at a later date.
Noah was adopted from Vietnam, so the doctors have indicated that the best chance for matches will come from those with Vietnamese and/or Asian heritage. If you can pass the word along to your friends and family, it would really be appreciated.
Can't attend in person but are interested in joining the registry:
Visit BeTheMatch.org (http://marrow.org/Home.aspx)and click on the "JOIN NOW" icon; replace the existing promo code with 'noahhein' before submitting your information. While you may not be a match for Noah, you may be the match for another person like Noah that desperately needs your help.
Thanks a lot!
