第十九屆喬州亞洲文化節 (ACE) 今年将於七月二十八日(星期六)、二十九日(星期日) 在Gwinnett Civic Center舉行,主辦單位為喬州非營利的亞洲文化節委員會 (ACE Organizing Committee) 和泰國世界中心 (Thai Assoc. World Center USA) 協辦。参加活動的代表國家與地區有:柬埔寨、中國、印度、印尼、日本、韓國、寮國、馬來西亞、緬甸、尼泊爾、巴基斯坦、 菲律賓、台湾、泰國、越南等十五國家。
亞洲文化節(ACE)是喬州最大規模的亞裔多元化文化活動。美國主流媒體及亞特蘭大華人媒体等臨塲訪錄, 可見美國主流社會至亞裔社區對亞洲文化節(ACE)的注意和重視。
本活動主旨是能讓亞裔民族提供其最多姿多彩風土文化。每年夏天, 各亞裔社區志愿團體藝術家們共同合作舉辦展示他们的風土習俗與文化。去年遊客統數過六千人,參加演出和積極協助的亞裔社區志愿團體近一千多名, 參與華人志愿團體個人超過一半總人數之上。
每年這两天, 各亞裔民族團体都認真準備把最佳的文化藝術獻給廣大觀眾,将為遊客來賓献上豐富多彩的節目演示, 種類繁多, 成為亞城主流社區家庭假日活動的一個好去處。遊客的票價(ticket)為成人票$10及學生票$6,買票的方式可登錄

今年將繼續在Gwinnett郡Civic Center舉行, 所有的活動會在戶內舉行,
更設戶外免費停車設備,歷年來參加亞洲文化節(ACE)的志愿團體藝術家都非常踴躍,估計今年也不例外。
各項申請表格類別如下:-
1)示範演示(Demonstration):參與的志愿團體/個人可以選擇一至两天的示範, 選擇示範時間,請看申請書內的規定。示範表演有剪折纸、黏麵人、水果雕刻、書法、風筝制作、木工、中國傳统書畫及冰雕等(但不能出售示範品)。
2)舞台演示(Presentation ) :二十分鐘志愿團體舞台演示,注重演出素質,適合
團體參加。可以選擇一至两天的表演和舞台演出時間,請看申請表規定。
舞台演出分別有傳統舞蹈、音樂、針灸、唱歌及服裝表演、弦樂合奏和武術等。
3) 展覧(Exhibition) :參與志愿團體/個人展覧有傳統插花、盆景, 中國傳统書
畫古物等(但不能出售展品)。
4) 星期六亞裔大型演出會(Saturday Night Performance):
基於每國家只許一至兩個代表節目, 每節目只限五分鐘。精選節目如舞蹈,音樂或其它
(必具有專業水評)。今年大型精選演出會將在星期六(七月二十八日)下午 6:00-8:00PM舉辦 , 從舞獅遊行帶領登場,是一場亞裔國家精英表演的呈献,也是整個節日的高潮和重頭戲。
5)攤位租赁(Vendors)攤位租赁分類如下:
手工藝品(Craft Vendor) 及小型商業攤位(Small Business Promotion Vendor)。
手工藝品攤位可銷售盆景, 中國傳统書畫古物, 編織服式, 水珠玉製品等貨物。
*本委員會為配合各公司及商家要求,今年更加設小型商業攤位,歡迎各種商業產品等貨物展示及出售。此一年一度的文化饗宴,歷年來皆吸引來無數來自世界各地的遊客,定將為各公司行號及商家,帶來無限商機。
小吃攤位則分為商業(Commercial Food Vendor)營利性質或社區(Community Food Vendor)非營利性質。商業或社區小吃攤位都需要食店或攤位牌照和保險的要求(A business license or food permit and insurance are required)。每個國家小吃攤位有限,請提早租訂。
6) 非營利團体攤位租赁(Civic Group) 歡迎各華人社區(非商業)團体參加(但不能出售任何展品)。
7)志愿服務者 (Volunteer) : 志愿者必须最少四小時服務、提供對亞洲文化節各項活動的前後準備工作。更歡迎會流利英語及有舞台經驗的志願人仕參加華人演出團体節目介紹組隊。

歡迎華人社區志愿團大家前来参與及欣賞, 各项申請表截止日為六月十五日,因巳往經驗各國民族團体參加文藝節目非常踴躍, 舞台演示(Presentation ) 和星期六亞裔大型演出會(Saturday Night Performance)通常都會在截止日前結束, 有意參加這個有意義的亞裔民族多元化活動請早報名, 詳情可向以下亞洲文化節委員會ACE committee聯絡。
*本委員會為獎勵中小學生參與此項有意義活動,今年 特別提供各中小學學生(十七歲以下)免費入場卷(原票價每張$6元),但各大專院校學生除外。且需由各中小學校方,直接與本委員會聯繫並申請。
*本委員會推崇敬老精神,更提供六十五歲以上老人,免費入場卷(原票價每張$10元),歡迎長者與大家同樂,敬請當地合法注册老人團体與本委員會聯絡。由於以上述票數有限, 務請提早申請,以免錯失良機。
今年亞洲文化節活動即將於七月二十八日開始,為期兩天。由於各類攤位數額有限,而申請日期,即將於六月十五日截止,請有意參加此次活動者,儘早提出申請,以免向隅。

Please indicate which country and the venue in which you wish to participate when requesting application forms. Please refer to the country team captain or co-captain list for information.

1.SAT Night Performance (July
28th@6-8 pm) : ONE high quality performance will be selected per country (5 min. each) . All selected performance(s) will be screened and upon the approval
through our ACE’s committee .
2. Demonstration: Helping to involve the general public with awareness of crafts, no sale is allowed in this venue.
3. Presentation: A twenty (20) minute presentation of a cultural expression (High Quality)
4.-5 Arts & Crafts Vendor and Small business Promotion Vendor (non-craft items) . Allow to sell items in this venue.
6-7. Food Vendor a) Community food vendor b) Commercial food vendor… You may sell all native and indigenous foods and drinks.
Rules: Standard rules for food vendors from the Health Dept. and from the Gwinnett Center are applied … No deep frying, No open fire and No grilling of any kind. Extra cost for electricity and it may be limited and available only in some areas.
You are responsible for public safety. See food vendor attachment for more details. A business license or food permit and Insurance are required.
(May NOT sell Hotdog, Popcorn, Water and Soda. Asian soft drinks are allowed to sell.)It’s an indoor facility.
8. ACE Volunteer – various tasks: To assist the event to operate smoothly. Tasks include of event set-up, break-down, greeting visitors, assist various venues etc…
Applicant must be able to volunteer at least 4 hours per day to be qualified .You can choose from various tasks that you are willing to help out with. You may volunteer for more than one area.

9. Civic Group- Apply to most non-profit community organizations. No sale is allowed in this venue
10. Exhibition - Important: You will be contacted to confirm the approval. No sale is allowed in this venue. You are required to set-up the exhibit and deliver the items between 3pm - 7pm on Friday, July 27th . You must remove the artwork @ 6 PM on Sunday July 29th.

Due to the limited amount of tickets are available per country, all free tickets are on a first come, first serve basis.
· *Free student tickets ($8.00 each) will be offered to the elementary and high school students ONLY. (17 year olds and under/College students are not included).
Ticket request should be coming from a school authority body and not an individual.
· *Free senior tickets ($10.00 each) will be offered to senior citizen(65 years old and over). All ticket requests should be coming from authorized body /organization and not an individual.

GENERAL INSTRUCTION
After receiving your completed application form with a non-refundable check (made payable to TAWC USA for ACE), the ACE vendor chair will mail you the vendor information packet (by the end of
June ) that include a map indicating the position of your location in the Gwinnett Center, parking information, drop off schedule and some Entry Passes.
In order for us (your country team captain) to do a follow up with your application and/or check status, be sure to email/fax a copy of your application & check to your country captain or co-captain(s).

Public Opening Hours:
Saturday: from 11:00am until 8:00pm. Sunday: from 11:00am until 7:00pm.
General admission: $10/adult, $8/student, free for children under 7.

Setting Up Tables (Friday, July 27, from 3:00PM to 7:00PM)
All tables and chairs will be ready at the Vendor’s location (refer to Map) on Friday July 27 at 6:00PM. Due to the hectic time on Saturday morning, we would recommend you stock up your table on Friday.
Each table will have a sign with your organization name and country. Please do not leave any valuable items anywhere in the Center. We won’t be responsible for any lost or damage.
Unload and loading
Loading decks are available to use in the back of the building. All equipment and merchandise will need to be moved by hand, cart, or wagon etc.
All participants have to be patient and considerate with others and wait for their turn when loading at the end of the day.
Participant/Vendor Check-in
All participants need to check-in at the ticket-sell booth area – first floor in the front of the escalator. Vendors and their crew need to check-in at the registration table at the loading decks area.
You will get a nametag and the event program book.
Water
Water (drinkable) will be available around the Center area. DO NOT wash any dishes or leave any food waste in the kitchen area. All food waste must be put in the plastic/garbage bag/can.
Ice
Ice is available near the loading deck. Please take as needed. Share with other vendors.
Electricity:
Electricity usage is limited and available in some area. Burner Butane Countertop Range / Portable Stove is allowed. Please bring extra extension cord in case you need it. No deep fat frying or grilling of any kind. You will be responsible for public safety.

Should you have any questions or need assistance during the event, please go to the Vendors registration table or contact Mariana Mayer, Vendor Chairperson, 770-871-1519 or

Security
For security reason, please wear your nametag at all time. You must tend your area during the event. Do not leave any valuable items overnight in the Center. We will assume NO responsibility for any loss.
*Please submit the application not later than June 15, 2012 to your Team Captains. From my prior experience, certain venues may be closed
much earlier than the deadline date (June 15, 12). To avoid any duplication and/or overbooking in the venue applications, all applications
MUST be submitted directly (by applicants) or indirectly (by Co-Captains) to Sylvia Sham (China/Taiwan Captain) for the final approval.
