Charges for Wushu, Taijiquan or Qigong Classes at Tai Chi Academy of Wushu and Acupressure

Tai Chi Academy of Wushu and Acupressure (TCAWA) provides credit program and non-credit program. A lecturer or a professor at any college or university in USA will not check any homework of a student who joined a non-credit program and paid the same tuition as a credit program student. A student joined a non-credit program at TCAWA gets three months benefit as a credit program student in correction by a Master, an Instructor or an Assistant Instructor in classroom. The correction will be ended if he/she does not change non-credit program to credit program.

There are more than eight year, the website of www.taichiwang.com is not upgraded. Here is the newest information of charges for 2012 and later.

(A) Test Fee for Credit Program:

(1)   $1 per each form or zhao (招) or shi（式）for Basic Training, 1^st and 2^nd Lu of Elementary Chang Quan.

(2)   $2 per form or zhao (招) or shi（式）for other taolu (套路).

(3)   He/she waits for test time. He/she has three test times. There is no time requirement of a test. He/she has to pay test fee again if he/she failed all of three tests.

(4)   Every test uses class time. Every student in credit program has to watch, make a comment and give the student in test a score. It is a part of a training course of being an Instructor or a judge for international competition in future.

(5)   He/she will receive a Diploma of the taolu in test if he/she gets 60 or more score in 0-100 score system.

(6)   A Certificate of Instructor in a taolu will be issued if he/she reaches all of the following requirements:

(6.1) He/she gets 85 or more score in standard way of a taolu test.

(6.2) He/she gets 70 or more score in a mirror way of the same taolu.

The above two score will be changed to 75 and 60 for his/her age is 50 or up.

(6.3) Pass Basic Training Test.

For 50 or more years old, he/she should obtain 1,575/2500 or more score in 25 basic zhaoshi (招式).

For younger than 50 years old, he/she should obtain 2,450/3500 or more score in 35 basic zhaoshi (招式).

(6.4) He/she has to have 50 hours teaching experience in practical teaching training program.

(6.5) His/her comments and score to other students in tests contain no basic problems.

(6.6) He/she has to know some basic information of the taolu.

(7) Test Charge for Certificate of Instructor:

Instructor Certificate for First taolu (套路): $200.

Starting from the Instructor Certificate for 2^nd taolu (套路), $100 for a taolu which contains 50 or less shi (式), and $200 for a taolu which contains more than 50 shi (式) will be charged. There is no extra charge for any generation owned secret taolu (套路) presently. It will add $200 extra charge starting from 01/01/2014 and $500 extra charge from 01/01/2016 for any generation owned secret taolu (套路).

（B）Tuition

A person may choose payment by hour or by monthly. There is no registration fee for payment by hour.

(2)   Monthly payment per person

Definition: “Monthly payment” is only for a student who keeps pay monthly tuition.

Registration fee: $35. A person has to pay registration fee again if he/she stops payment of one month or more. This is similar as a student has to pay registration fee at the first day of each semester at a university or a college.

(2.1) Very Small Classes (1-7 people in a class):

$100/month for 1 hr/wk

(2.2) Small Class (8-15 people in a class)

Presently, everybody is charged by “Normal Classes” (16-25 people in a class) instead of actual “Very Small Classes” (1-7 people in a class). Everybody will be informed at least one month in advance when above monthly payment will be charged by actual number of people in a class.
