The Emory Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Unit (VTEU) is looking for breastfeeding women 18 to 49 years old and their infants
to participate in a flu vaccine study
Purpose: The purpose of this research study is to help us learn more about how the flu vaccines Flumist® (nose spray) and Fluzone® (shot in the arm) work in breastfeeding mothers and their infants. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends both of these vaccines for breastfeeding women.
To Be In This Study You Must:
Be between 18 and 49 years of age Have delivered a healthy infant in the past 28 (1 month) to 120 days (4
months) Be breastfeeding at least 50% (half) of the time
Be available for 4 or 5 study visits over a 6 month period Have a healthy infant
Reimbursement:
Participants may receive up to $250 in compensation for time and travel.
