SATURDAY

Auto show: Wheels and water will mix at the Atlanta Classic Car Show at the Georgia Aquarium. 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sept. 11; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 12. The event is free with aquarium admission, which is $19.50-$26.

Festival: 15th Annual East Cobber Parade and Festival gets under way with the parade at 10 a.m. Sept. 11 followed by entertainment, games, food and more at the Fountains of Olde Town Shopping Center on Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta.

Food festival: Things will be tasty at the 2nd Annual Canton Chili Cook Off. 10:30 a.m. Sept. 11 in Canton’s Brown Park.

Festival: Fam Jam celebrates its inaugural year with entertainment, food and more. The fest is a benefit for the Georgia Transplant Foundation. 4 p.m. Sept. 11. $10; discounts available for families. At the Sandy Springs Society Entertainment Lawn.

Movie: “Patton,” the 1970 film about General George S. Patton stars George C. Scott, will screen at the Earl Smith Strand Theatre in Marietta at 8 p.m. Sept. 11.

Music: The Duluth Fall Festival is still two weeks away, but the Duluth Fall Festival Concert featuring Rupert’s Orchestra and Kozmic Mama takes place at 7 p.m. Sept. 11 on the Duluth Town Green

Music: The Bowman House provides incredible entertainment in a very intimate setting, bringing great singer-songwriters into a living room atmosphere. On Sept. 11, they’ll have the talented David Olney.

Music, sports: The post-game concert after Braves vs. Cardinals features country duo Montgomery Gentry. The game begins at 4:10 p.m. Sept. 11 at Turner Field and tickets are $6-$78.

Visual art: An opening reception for “Shijun Munns: Ancient Symbolism, Modern Subjects” happens 5-10 p.m. Sept. 11 at Decatur Market and Gallery. the show continues through Sept. 30.

Dance, music: “American Muscle” is a collaboration between choreographer Blake Beckham and musical director Stephen Wood. 8 p.m. Sept. 11 at Eyedrum in downtown Atlanta.

Stage: One of our most enduring and versatile entertainers, Debbie Reynolds began her career in the 1948 film “June Bride.” She’ll perform at 8 p.m. Sept. 11 at Georgia Tech’s Ferst Center for the Arts.

Stage: Revisit the strong women of “Steel Magnolias” as Decatur’s Renaissance Project brings the beloved play to the stage Sept. 11 through Oct. 3.

SUNDAY

Music: Best known as the lead vocalist of progressive rock titans Yes, Jon Anderson has had a long and varied solo career, too. He’ll play at 8 p.m. Sept. 12 at Variety Playhouse in Little Five Points.

Sports, kids: On the Atlanta Braves’ All Star Sundays get autographs from Braves alumni or enjoy entertainment and interactive games before the game. After the game kids ages 4-14 get to run the bases on the field. 1:30 p.m. Aug. 8. Free with game ticket: $6-$78. At Turner Field, Atlanta.
