Wheels: It’s the final weekend for “The Allure of the Automobile” at the High Museum of Art, Atlanta.
Dance: Zoetic Dance Exchange Choreographers’ Showcase offers two nights of new works at 7 Stages Theater, Atlanta.
Comedy: The distinctive bellow of comedian Gilbert Gottfried will fill the Punchline in Sandy Springs.
Visual art: “The List Wall Project” is a traveling installation of a community’s goal lists, life lists and to-do lists mediated by artist Lisa Lala. There’s an opening reception 6-9 p.m. Friday and the show runs through July 24 at Pryor Fine Art Gallery, Atlanta.
Festival: Music is the star at Athens’ annual AthFest, but there are many other activities and entertainment options at the festival, which continues through Sunday.
Stage: The rock musical “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” is presented by Horrible Children Productions at the Spring4th Center in Atlanta through Aug. 8.
Sports: Publix Friday Night Fireworks follow the Atlanta Braves match-up with the Detroit Tigers at 7:30 p.m. at Turner Field, Atlanta.

Music: ’70s soft-rock outfit America comes to the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater in Peachtree City at 7 p.m. with Christopher Cross.
Music: ATL Summer Jam features Heads of State (aka Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant); Tony, Toni, Tone and Faith Evans. At 7:30 p.m. at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park, Alpharetta.
Sports: The Atlanta Rollergirls are back in roller derby action beginning at 5 p.m. at the Yaraab Shrine Center Auditorium, Atlanta.
Stage: “Love’s Labour’s Lost” joins the Georgia Shakespeare Company’s summer repertory. Through Aug. 6 at Conant Performing Arts Center, Atlanta.
Festival: Head to Olde Town Morrow for the annual SummerFest on the Green and enjoy fireworks, kids’ activities, live entertainment and more from 6-10 p.m.

Music: One of country music’s biggest bands, Rascal Flatts, plays Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood in Atlanta at 7 p.m. with Kellie Pickler.
Artist’s talk: See The Atlanta Journal Constitution’s editorial cartoonist talk about his work in “Drawing Attention: Cartooning with Mike Luckovich.” 2 p.m. June 27 at the Breman Jewish Heritage & Holocaust Museum, Atlanta.
Music: Atlanta singer-songwriter Ben Wakeman has an afternoon CD release show at 2:30 p.m. at Eddie’s Attic, Decatur.
Holiday: Star Spangled Spectacular featuring Banks & Shane is at 7:30 p.m. at Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw
