The World of Exchanges, Trading Technologies and Career Opportunities
Do you know how your orders are routed and processed by exchanges such as NYSE or NASDAQ, how exchanges handle large volume of messages and scale to support thousands of customers, how computers have become a mainstream in trading, and what are the major exchanges other than NYSE and NASDAQ? This presentation will introduce you to the exciting world of cutting edge trading technologies and exchanges.
 
David Chen has 15 years of experiences working in trading related technologies, including online stock brokerage, bond trading marketplace and Futures exchange. He is currently director of market data at InterContinental Exchange (ICE). In addition to technologies, he will also talk about his experience working at a major exchange, and the career opportunities over there.
 
ICE is one of the leading commodities futures/otc exchanges and clearinghouses in the US and the world, with platforms that support the trading and clearing of substantial volumes of energy (crude oil, natural gas, power, etc), agriculture and financial futures/otc contracts.
