SATURDAY
Gerald Albright
This is the first in a series of three “Hot Fun in the Summertime” concerts. This is certainly one to help alleviate the heat. You’ll probably feel the breeze when the cool, contemporary jazz of saxophonist Albright fills the air. He’ll appear with guitarist Peter White, Daniel Moore, Joey Sommerville and the Get Down Club Band.
6 p.m. June 19. $25-$75. Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre, 5239 Floyd Road, Mableton. 770-819-7765.
SATURDAY
Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash 15
It’s time again for radio station Hot 107.9’s biggest party of the year. The lineup this year is scheduled to include Ludacris, Plies, Monica, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Roscoe Dash, Travis Porter, Waka Flocka Flame and OJ Da Juiceman.

SATURDAY
Silversun Pickups, Against Me
Los Angeles quartet Silversun Pickups churns out a mighty psychedelic roar tempered by the occasional moment of quiet beauty. Against Me’s “Thrash Unreal” was one of the catchiest tales of a descent into drug addiction ever crafted, and the rest of the band’s “New Wave” album was pretty amazing, too. The Gainesville, Fla.-born group just followed that 2007 major label debut with “White Crosses,” released earlier this month.
8 p.m. June 19. $30. The Tabernacle, 152 Luckie St. N.W., Atlanta. 404-659-9022.
SUNDAY
Chris Barron
Remember “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” or the Top 10 hit “Two Princes”? Those two early ’90s radio staples were sung by Barron as the frontman for New York quartet the Spin Doctors. He headlines this week’s edition of the Unplugged in the Park series. With Trees Leave.
7 p.m. June 20. Free. Park Tavern, 500 Tenth St. N.E., Atlanta. 404-249-0001.
WEDNESDAY
Collective Soul with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
The days when Ed Roland and his crew regularly scaled the charts are gone, but audiences don’t care. Collective Soul’s hooky, melodic post-grunge can still pack them in when these guys perform live.
8 p.m. June 23. $19-$55. Chastain Park Amphitheater, 4469 Stella Drive N.W., Atlanta. 404-733-4949.
THURSDAY
Travis Tritt
Georgia’s own Tritt emerged in 1989 with an updated take on outlaw country that gave it a Southern rock edge. Along the way, he’s scored nearly 20 Top 10 country hits, a couple of Grammys and several Country Music Association awards.
7 p.m. June 24. $20-$87.50. Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre, 5239 Floyd Road, Mableton. 770-819-3285.
