            China’s policy of “reform and opening” began in 1979, inaugurating a period of astounding economic development. Professors Guo Baogang of Dalton State College’s Department of Social Sciences, Penny Prime who directs the China Research Center at Mercer University, and Qi Li of Agnes Scott College’s Economics Department will discuss aspects of the political and economic developments of the past thirty years.

            Signs will provide directions to Lower Evans Hall. The deck on the west side of the Agnes Scott campus is the most accessible parking although some places may be open on the front circle.
