Are you looking for scholarships?

 

APIASF (www.apiasf.org) is the nation’s largest non-profit dedicated to providing financial assistance to Asian and Pacific Islander American students with need. They administer the APIASF scholarships and the Gates Millennium Scholars program for Asian and Pacific Islander American  students.

Meet the APIASF program coordinator, Nikki Modi next week to learn about scholarship opportunities for Asian American and Pacific Islander students starting college in the fall of 2010!

 

Get advice and guidance on:

·         writing competitive applications

·         requesting strong recommendations

·         applying for financial aid

 

Meet the Nikki Modi at any of these locations:

 

1.     Monday, Oct. 12, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM

2.     Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Basic Scholarship Criteria

Students meet the general eligibility requirements for both scholarships if they:

  • are of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census;
  • are a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States;
  • are enrolling in a U.S. accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student
  • have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities

 

Each scholarship has specific additional requirements, including financial need and minimum GPA.
