顺其自然！李四有实力的话，用不着张三退让。 张三只是个孩子，除非是顶尖的大学，他肯定会等最好的极会。 再说，张三不申请，李四多着哩。跟张三同学的李四未必争得过异地的李四。 去年就有人责怪某某申请了太多的学校。 太为难孩子了。

ZT <H1 class="title entry-title" itemprop="name">俺家女儿爬藤的经验（普林斯顿工程刚录取）</H1> <DIV id=inner> <DIV id=articleBody itemprop="articleBody"> 感谢大家的祝福。跟大家分享一些经验。其实爬藤不要over done,围绕几个原则 1）技能，不但要学，而且要用，学了钢琴就去教小区的孩子，筹款目的是去第三世界做公益活动。 2）SAT其实不用满分，她就2300，还是考两次积累起来的，第一次才2100 （2400满分）。 3）课外活动要有目的，围绕对社会爱心，公益，老人残疾人等几个主题展开，从不同角度展现自己的良好心态，对社会负责并且愿意奉献。 4）要参加展现个人才能的活动，比如科学研究活动，组织社区青少年参加各种智力竞赛，并取得一定成绩。 5）要学会写文章，词要达意，情真意切，千万不要假大空，喊口号。要展现有理想，有思想，求上进的个性。 孩子没有任何杰出成绩，只是真心投入的参加上面的活动，就被录取了。 </DIV></DIV>

回126楼：   已经进了理想学校的，应该尽量少申请其他低一些的学校。但已经盛情了的，就没理由撤了吧。已经交了钱和申请了的。

昨天听说有一韩国男孩被普林斯顿录取，SAT也就2300，学校的排名也不是TOP5以内的，当然他肯定应该有其他优秀的方面。不知老中的孩子有木有被录取的啊?

For those of you who got EA acceptance, if you are sure to go to that school, it would be a noble thing not to apply other schools just to prove that you can get in.  You should leave those spots for other applicants and give everyone an chance.  If you've submitted other applications, you can withdraw them.    I remember there was such a debate at Northview high last year.

已知道有华裔孩子被Yale，MIT 和 Stanford录取。没听说有被Harvard录取。

Not being very understandable for those who preferred U of Chicago or Duke over Georgia Tech or UGA. these schools are relatively same, right?  for the GA residents , make no financial (160k) sense go for Chicago or Duke. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
