<P>Most dental insurance you got through your employer pays about $1000 per child over the life time. Some good ones pays up to $2000. Check with your HR for details. If you have a PPO plan, you could find an in-network dentist and you only pay the negociated price which should be significantly less. However, I think finding the right dentist is more important than the price since this could be a life time event and a couple thousand $ extra will be insignificant over the long run.
