OCA-Georgia’s 2015 Lunar New Year Banquet will be held on Saturday 6 - 9 PM, February 28th at the Oriental Pearl Restaurant, Chamblee, GA.  This is our annual signature event, and we joyfully celebrate with members, friends, partners in various for profit and non-profit organizations, elected government and legislative officers, Asian Americans and non-Asian Americans

2015 is a landmark year in Georgia’s judicial system. Three Asian American judges are formally presiding in State Court/Hon. Al Wong, Superior Court/Hon. Meng Lim and the Court of Appeals/Hon. Carla McMillian respectively.   At the State of Judiciary address delivered to Georgia General Assembly in February 2015, Chief Justice Hugh Thompson from Georgia Supreme Court emphasized that "the perception of justice is almost as important as justice itself. The faces of the judiciary must reflect us" 

 OCA-GA celebrates and applauds the increased diversity in our courts and business communities.  Hon. Judge Carla Wong McMillian, the first Asian American state appellate Judge from Southeast USA,  will deliver Keynote on the value of diversity in our justice system. A senior officer from UPS will deliver Keynote from a corporate perspective.  UPS is one of the most admired companies in the United States for its diversity programs

The banquet will include a presentation of OCA-GA/APCA/AT&T scholarship and an OCA-GA special service award, recognition of our official guests, sponsors and partners, past presidents, celebratory cultural performances, and door prizes.

Proceed benefit scholarship program, Mentoring Asian American Professional program (MAAP), Leadership training, Update on equal employment opportunity program, hosting events relating to civic engagement, legislative updates, health and economic well-being.
