内容介绍：The film, The Road to Fame (成名之路) tells the story of graduating students at China's top drama academy (中央戏剧学院) as they prepare to enter show business. The film has been called "an intimate and empathetic portrait of China's post-80s generation" by the Atlantic and would be interesting for any China watchers. <b>这个片子选材尽管不错，但中外媒体或观众观看的角度却不一样，甚至误读。</b><div><b><br></b><div><b>西方国家更多从中国“一胎化”政治角度和美国文化影响评价该片。这多少是西方“东方主义”作怪和误读。当然，这也是制片人在西方市场推销宣传的一个卖点。</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>对于普通华人观众，可能认为这是一部关于中戏表演系的毕业生的片子。这也是一个误解。中戏有许多系。表演系又分了不同的专业方向，如4年本科戏剧表演学生，毕业后演话剧，影视剧等；还有大专性质的歌剧专业，音乐剧专业等，该片就是拍摄的音乐剧大专班的学生。所以，该片不能完全代表产生“明星摇篮”的中戏的表演系的戏剧表演学生的实际情况。</b></div></div>

The Story:<br> <br>The Road to Fame tells a unique story of coming-of-age with Chinese characteristics. The film chronicles the staging of the American musical Fame—China’s first official collaboration with Broadway—by the senior class at China's top drama academy as their graduation showcase. During the eight-month process, five students compete for roles, struggle with pressure from family and authority, and prepare to graduate into a cutthroat and corrupt show business. Part of China’s Single-Child generation, they were spoiled growing up but are now obliged to carry on the failed dreams of their parents. They must confront complex social realities and their own anxieties, and, in the process of staging Fame, negotiate their own definitions of and paths to success in today’s China.<br>
