Mingyu Gao同学追悼会周五举行

来自中国，18岁的，今年元月刚在Riverside Military Academy入学就读的Mingyu Gao同学于上周五（2月28日）晚上10点左右，在亚特兰大北部小镇Duluth的桃树工业街（Peachtree Industrial Boulevard）步行穿过大街时被汽车撞倒。司机和后面跟的目击者说都没看到该同学，他们说他们是绿灯。司机通过了酒精测试。

Gwinnett Medical Center 一直用人工心肺机把他的生命维持到周二。周二早上1点左右他父母从中国赶到医院，几小时后，医生关闭了人工心肺机。

他父母正在亚特兰大准备追悼仪式。

Mingyu Gao的追悼仪式将于周五（3月7号）上午11:30在Riverside Military Academy的Carlos and Sandra Cervantes Theatre举行。

I wanted to take a moment to dispel the first news we got that this was a hit and run accident.  It was not.  The driver of the car (a middle aged man driving his 80 year old mom) was driving appropriately through a green light.   Cadets Gao and Liu were unfortunately crossing against the signal and wearing all black.   The driver never saw them.  He did stop immediately, however, and call 911.   The driver behind him confirms that the light was green and that he did not see the boys either.   No one's fault here.

太可惜了，听说是家里的独子，愿孩子一路走好父母节哀顺变.。   赞同15楼的说法，步行过马路要小心再小心。   老爸，老妈有时晚上要过马路去学英语，咱除了叮嘱他们小心外，还去REI买了一件有荧光条的外衣，穿上以后，天黑有车灯照过来会很醒目，司机不会注意不到。建议天黑必须步行过马路的人，还是穿一件这样的衣服更安全。
